Third fixed bid sale of personalised number plates

The third fixed bid sale of personalised number plates to be held by the DVLA raised just over half a million pounds in bids. Nearly three quarters of the numbers offered for sale attracted bids over the reserve price. Top sellers were YUL1A and 121CHE which both brought just over ten grand. The auction inlcuded some hand picked attractive combinations but in the main consisted of obscure combinations requested by members of the public. Previously these requests had their own real world auctions held at public venues or were included in the main auction of valuable selected registrations held 6 times per year.
