What is a SIPP?
SIPP stands for Self Invested Personal Pension and is a way for UK residents to enjoy more selection when it comes to their retirement savings. SIPPs actually came into being in 1989 but they were around for a long time before that.
They are often known as pension “wrappers” as they enable you to invest in shares, investment funds, commericial property, stocks, and residential property. There will a lifetime limit for your SIPP of just over one and half million dollars as of 2006. Another great advantage of these types of wrappers is that they allow for tax advantages and a legal framework that makes retirement investment easier and more flexiable.
