While that was easy enough, since late 2008 the peso has been trading at approx. 13-to-1, meaning 200 pesos is more like 15 dollars. Best to use the “inverse” trading rate of approx 7.5, meaning 100 pesos is about $7.50 U.S., etc.

This is a trick the airlines hate but you can use to save money, especially on one-way or last-minute airline tickets. Hidden city airline tickets work because of competition between airlines on certain routes. For example, let’s say you need to go from Des Moines to Denver tomorrow. There is only one airline that flies between the 2 cities non-stop, so they have little competition, and can set the fare high. If, however, you buy a ticket from Des Moines to Los Angeles (with a change of planes in Denver), the fare will be much cheaper because there are several airlines competing for business on that route. So buy the ticket to L.A., but just get off the plane in Denver. Make sure you don’t check any luggage…you have to do this with carry-on luggage only.

My wife and I have been planning a trip for a little while now. I rented out a couple Arizona cabins and told my wife and family that we could all spend the holiday together.  They told me that it sounded like a great idea, but no one has gotten back to me on whether or not they can actually make it.  I told my wife that I was going to send out an email to try and get people to contact me to let me know what they want to do.  She told me that to try to not get too frustrated.

One of the most beautiful and romantic places to visit is Cape Town South Africa. Indeed it is full of glorious beauty. By far, the one site that capture the interest of most tourist is the Table Mountain. Sometimes hidden by the clouds, this mountain rises from behind the city and is a breathtaking site to. All you can do most of the time is stand there and just stare and wonder how did such beauty come about. So if you are interested in taking in this sight, book one of the cheap cape town hotels.
