Grooming Your Dog

One of the most important aspects of dog care centers around grooming.  Regular brushing helps to distribute the natural oils in the fur to maintain a shiny, healthy coat.  Always brush in the direction the hair grows. Starting at the head, brushing vigorously towards the tail, and brush downwards on the legs. The tummy area and ears are sensitive, so go gently here. Use a brush that is suitable for your dog’s coat - it needs to get through the fur but not scratch the skin. If there are knots or tangles, gently work from the edge of the knot towards the centre of it, freeing small sections at a time.
