USS Arizona Memorial, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii
On your visit to Hawaii, take the time to tour the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor. This is an outstanding attraction that provides a wealth of information about the attack on December 7, 1941. It is also an important Memorial that honors and pays tribute to the men who died on board the USS Arizona that day. The Visitor’s Center is where you will obtain a ticket to take your tour of the USS Arizona Memorial. Access to the Memorial is provided as part of this tour by Navy shuttle boat. After receiving your ticket, you can explore the many exhibits at the Visitor’s Center while waiting for your tour turn. In addition to a Museum and shore-side exhibits, there are two theaters at the Visitor’s Center, as well. Your tour will begin with an introductory film at the Visitor’s Center that lasts approximately 20 minutes. On board the Memorial, you’ll take a self-guided tour. The Memorial consists of an entry and assembly room, central area and beautiful shrine. An outstanding audio guide for your tour is available for rent. This hour-long audio guide features memories of the attack as recalled and recounted by survivors.
