A Kauai Grand Canyon
We had hiked and rode the mules through the Grand Canyon of Arizona. That in no way prepared us for the Grand Canyon of the Pacific on Kauai Island. It was like stepping out of one world into another. We had been surrounded by lush tropical greenery and then when we went into the canyon we discovered that we were in a desert like canyon. We did not have mules to rely on here so had to do our exploring on foot. We had previously traveled the big island and Oahu but had never seen anything remotely like this place. Take some time to do some hiking here to enjoy it’s unique beauty.
